V.I.P. Application
When applying to become part of the Cablenet Velocity Installer Partnership (V.I.P.) you will be required to enter relevant information about your company. A Velocity Certificate of Approval will be awarded to the Velocity Installer Partner (V.I.P.), signed by a Velocity UK representative. Cablenet will in turn, provide Velocity with complete and accurate V.I.P. details before certification can be offered. Certification lasts for one year, at which point Cablenet will review and confirm details with the V.I.P. internally and with Velocity. V.I.P. Application formInstallation Registration
On completion of an installation, a registration form is to be filled in by the V.I.P. via the Cablenet V.I.P. website. Cablenet will ensure all details are correctly completed, including such information as site details, V.I.P.’s details, date of installation, number of outlets and Velocity product part numbers installed. To receive certification, the person or persons installing the Velocity warranted equipment must have direct control over the quality of the installation and must be employed by the V.I.P. at the time of registration. Cablenet logs the details of each end user project and raises a certificate to the end user, copies being provided to the V.I.P. and Velocity. The lifetime warranty is only valid for the end user specified by the V.I.P. for the time that the end user is present at the specified address.
Lifetime Product Warranty
All the Velocity products to be installed and warranted must be purchased from Cablenet. To qualify for V.I.P. Certification, only Velocity products are to be installed end-to-end, including Velocity connecting hardware in the telecommunications closet (e.g. patch panels), Velocity cable, and Velocity connecting hardware in the work area (e.g. telecommunication outlets); this includes patch cords, which will also receive a lifetime product warranty. The lifetime warranty is only valid for the customer number and site address specified on the V.I.P. certificate provided.

- End user reports a cabling fault to the V.I.P.
- The V.I.P. will investigate the fault and perform necessary troubleshooting, keeping a record.
- If it appears to be a Velocity product fault (agreed between Velocity, Cablenet, and the V.I.P.), Cablenet will supply a new part to the V.I.P.
- Cablenet will confirm action with Velocity; typically, the product will be returned to Velocity in order to perform a fault analysis and report. The V.I.P. installer will be informed of the results.
